the calm
within.
i feel a sense of calm.
rise through me, every day i wake up now.
hovering around as i prepare for a change.
whispering into my ears, words of encouragement.
as i sip the tall glass of warm water.
its lime and honey vapours cast morning shadows.
on my room’s early sunlit walls.
i feel a sense of calm.
as i juggle through regular affairs of the day.
the office. the laundry. the groceries. and bills i pay.
despite anxieties. of the unknown tomorrow.
despite pressures. being placed on me today.
because.
i’m now listening closely to the voice inside me.
hear it getting clearer with each passing day.
a voice that believes in me. that trusts my instincts.
that stands with me staring as the world frantics around.
from miseries and diabolical realities.
i feel a sense of calm.
because the voice does not let me get lost in dreams.
rather prepares me for failures, and tells me it’s okay.
you’d rather fail on the right track.
than succeed on the wrong one, it says.
some call it gut. some name it instinct.
i call it a vision. derivative of love and purpose.
and all joy within.
